Markets Unsettled by Durable-Goods, Pakistani Violence
US Stock futures drop after durable-goods data didn’t meet forecasts. Reports from Pakistan that opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was killed in a suicide attack are certainly playing into the drop.
Reports said that a suicide bomber opened fire on Bhutto at close range before detonating himself, killing at least 20 people.
Bhutto was leaving a rally where she had just finished delivering a speech to thousands of supporters.
